Here is another 360 degree tour de force by wvs, daily dose of imagery. The idea is novel, the image striking and surreal!
But I like it and he links to a reverse image too!

Most of viewing traffic seems to be attributable to posts about Napoleon with about 3,763 views and the Happiest Country in the world with about 1500 views.
Go figure.
Yes I like the idea that blog viewers are interested enough to find my site and view my posts. I do try to keep my posts and post subjects varied.

I attempted to make this post with Scribefire and Firefox 3.0. It seemed to take forever and I decided to do the post via Marsedit, easier and faster technology for now.
I like the clear picture depicted in the graphic above.

I and my wife walked up all the steps on the left side of the museum building, or about 300 steps. I posted about this visit a few times in October 2004.

76-Year-Old Man Is Oldest to Scale Mount Everest
By THE ASSOCIATED PRESS
Filed at 7:28 a.m. ET
KATMANDU, Nepal (AP) — A 76-year-old Nepalese man reached the summit of Mount Everest on Sunday and became the oldest person to climb the world’s highest mountain, a tourism official said.
Min Bahadur Sherchan reached the 29,035-foot summit early in the morning with his climbing guides, said a Nepal Tourism Ministry official, Ramesh Chetri.
Sherchan was just 25 days away from his 77th birthday, Chetri said.
He beat the record set last year by Japanese climber Katsusuke Yanagisawa, who scaled the peak at age 71. Sherchan was in good health and was descending from the summit, Chetri said.
The former soldier climbed smaller mountains before Everest and has been an active sportsman, Chetri said.
He said about a dozen climbers scaled Everest on Sunday following one of the busiest weeks in the mountain’s climbing season.
A veteran Sherpa guide scaled Everest on Thursday for a record 18th time. Appa, who like most Sherpas goes by only one name, reached the summit along with several colleagues. He was among more than 80 climbers to reach the summit that day — the largest number ever in a single day from the Nepalese side of the peak.

Yesterday, for some reason unknown to me and not evident in wordpress.com blog stats, views of my blog topped out at 90 some and that is almost twice the average viewing rate for the last few years. 36 views of my previous post about the happiest countries in the world led the way.
Here is a more complete article about the measuring of subjective well-being which sort of sounds like happiness but spelt out in clinical terms. According to this study Canada rates in the top 4 countries while the US comes in the top 6. Go figure!
Not surprisingly, Burundi, Congo Republic and Zimbabwe bring up the rear with Burundi rating last with the base subjective well-being index of 100. All these numbers were derived in 2006.
The link above is a slight improvement over the link my earlier post.

This is a view of the CN Tower I have never seen before. Compliments to “daily dose of imagery”!
