More about short term evolution from Olivia J

Olivia uses her NY Times Science blog to expand our understanding of how evolution has operated in the long and now the short term.

Meanwhile Creationists are stuck in their own biblical time warp. Their stories do seem repetitive and forward looking whatsoever.

It isn’t so much their insistence that God did it all because that’s what the Word of God says. For me it is more that their vision of God is never changing, while all about humanity is ever changing!

Just a comment if I may as a person with a never changing view of God… and I dont know everything so forgive me if I misunderstand something you said/implied.

Just a question of humanity never changing?
I agree with regards to technology and understanding of how things operate and came to be, man seems to have advanced.

But War is still common place, more people have been killed with pangas then nuclear weapons in the past 100years. 2nd world war man went on a systematic wipe out of another nation, people are today just as selfish, just as egotistical (by the way South Africa, where I live, is debating this issue and trying to create moral renewal because they feel they have none). Man today is still the same as they always have been, at least if I look empirically, self-centered, egocentric, arrogant, backbiting, spiteful etc….
