One person’s few minutes of fame, because of her house!

I hear the name Ballard WA often when I dial into Seattle news stations. But not till this morning did I know about Edith Macefield and her long standing refusal to sell her house, in Ballard, for a $1 million bucks to developers delivering progress by way of new buildings.

Here’s a clip of that house from the Seattle Post Intelligencer:

This morning I learned in the NY Times that Edith died this past June.
