Today’s fast cameras and novel images

I love digital photograpy. I like neat and unusual images. I skitched this one from NY Times’ web news site:

Do you see the image of the mortar shell swoooooshing out of the mortar tube and in the upper left of the photo? Now isn’t that neat, even if it’s only a digital accident or coincidence. The photo was clicked at the right time so that the image capture mechanism caught the brief flashing image of the shell . WOW!
