The Portuguese style road in MacauImage via Wikipedia

has seemed fanciful, not at all like large building architecture in the West.

Here is a sample:

But not all is great with construction of ordinary condo buildings in one part of China. The image below shows what can happen when break neck building meets up with very wet ground conditions:

Sometimes you can build ’em too fast! And when the foundations are in ground that is too wet, voila the building can tip over!
