A robot will drive from Parma to Shanghai

July 21, Mr. Graziano Delrio, Reggio Emilia’s Mayor, greets VisLab’s Intercontinental Challenge offering the crew an Italian flag, emblem of this city where it was originally created in 1797. The flag – known as “Tricolore” – will attend the trip all the way to Shanghai where it will be given to Milan’s Mayor Mrs. Letizia Moratti as a handover to 2015 Expo’s hosting city.
It seems that Americans are not any part of this advanced application of robotics and solar power. Hold the hankie Tom Friedman!
