Window in Istanbul

I still remember my  first early dawn view of Istanbul, dark shadows of minarets and amber lighting of the early morning. It was in October 2000 and the offloading from an NCL cruise. I was with my buddy, Msgr. Askew, who has died since.

Its a charm to see the image below from an Istanbul window in Orham Pamuk’s home as a drawing:
