The 21st century rush to exploit available natural resources
is the natural enemy of older cultures and societies. It is no different in remote Turkey, Hasankeyef to be exact, which is hautingly beautiful but seemingly valueless area:
Modernity has an insatiable appetite for pushing resource exploitation at the expense of cultural diversity. One world with fewer cultures unless any culture has the ability to hold of the seemingly inevitable destruction of all that is original.
I feel like a forlorn voice speaking about this. Global Post discusses this situation.
