Members of the crew of Clipper Stad Amsterdam are encountering all kinds of things and fauna during their 12 month replay of Darwin’s cruise on HMS Beagle more than 175 years ago. Here’s an intriguing sample of what men have to do to survive in the seal’s natural environment!

The crew of the Clipper Stad Amsterdam are regular posters to their Facebook page.

This image comes from a Facebook album and has been Skitched (www.skitch.com) and dropped in here. I feel shivers just looking at the image of the Twin Towers as they stood then. To me it is fortuitous that this image is offered as part of the reprise of the voyage of HMS Beagle that took place in the first third of the 19th century. The object in the lower left of the photo is the Clipper Stad Amsterdam under full sail:
