Sometimes the image is everything, leaving little to interpretation

TPM, which is a serious Web news site did this image snip job with a light hearted interpretation, but a deadly accurate one. So here’s the image which I snipped from HuffPo:

Ain’t  it the barking truth!

The essential inanity of celebrity gossip

leave a comment »

I have always wondered, and will continue to, about the IT that drives celebrity gossip. IMHO after reading press reports and viewing too many videos there is precious little IT in any of this stuff.

A wide variety of sources, CNN, Huffington Post, et al, continue the yada yada about the squalid inanities of ordinary looking women, who happen to be actresses, like Jennifer A.

Consider this image of a very ordinary looking (IMHO) woman:

Jennifer Aniston Breaks Silence About Brad & Angelina - Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, Jennifer Aniston _

WTF is going here? Why do they continue to obsess about her views re Brangelina?

Get over it and move on already!

Problematic images of female beauty

Keira Knightley at the Pirates of the Caribbea...Image via Wikipedia

I have never felt very affected by the latest fashion in the female form.

But I must say that I did not like the bony creature that Keira Knightley presents in “Atonement”. In fact, each of the women in that film seem deliberately unattractive, almost wraith like. How could any man want to lust for any of these anemic looking creatures?

They may look fine I guess, if you like tall, somewhat scrawny and leggy figures, but sexy? How so?

Update after the Oscars: Oscar night features lots of conventionally lovely and some sexy women. However during the TV program, I didn’t see much evidence of the scrawny look, except for Tilte Swinton, who is exceptional in more than one way but not really a female sex symbol.

Here’s the latest on her figure from Huffington Post, which she prefers in its natural form, thank you very much!
